Zihuatanejo/Ixtapa
We visited Fred and Liz at the villa in Ixtapa.
Monday, we walked through the streets in Zihuatanejo.
We watched the fishing boats in the Port of Zihuatanejo.
Someone had been busy building 'sandcastles.'
We did some 'shopping.'
This license plate sign caught my eye.
Fred and Liz purchased a serape.
Pretty colors!
We toured the Archaeological Museum of the Costa Grande.
The museum 'gathers the material testimony of invaluable cultural
relevance in the region.'
There were several rooms: Introduction, Geography, Life in the Village,
Ceremonial Centers and Colonial Times.
The rooms surrounded this garden.
After a relaxing lunch at Casa Elvira and a stop at Sam's for supplies
we returned to the villa for a nap and swimming.
Tuesday we noticed some of the fruit growing near the villa.
The pineapple is one month old. It will be ready to be picked in eight more months...
Coconuts and bananas.
