This wall hanging is dedicated to Barry Rosenfeld, President of the Cincinnati Cycle Club for twelve years. The squares are from bicycle jerseys representing rides that Barry organized and co-ordinated. This wall hanging was a group 'cold weather project'.

When my age was in the single digits, we visited my maternal grandparents on Saturday mornings. My maternal grandmother had violets, purple, I think, on the ledge in front of the bay window in her dining room. Many years later, my mother started growing violets, white ones, I think. This violet came from my sister-in-law who has the 'green' thumb. She asked my mother for a violet; and now has several very nice white violets in her home. She is the one who presented me with this violet a couple of years ago. Not having a 'green' thumb, I am always amazed and pleased when a plant actually blossoms.
