Swimming
The grandchildren, their mother and I took a trip to visit with Uncle Walter and Aunt B.
to swim in their pool - and to go fishing and kayaking.

Ellie and I had great fun with the yellow raft.
Ellie repeatedly knocked me off into the water. And we laughed.
"This time, I'll stay on," I said.
"N-o-o," said Miss El.

The puppies loved the CHEEZ-ITS that fell on the ground!

Friday morning, Uncle Walter took us fishing and kayaking.

Uncle Walter said, "Look at that Miss El!"
K.K. and Noah were fishing.
And, who caught the first fish?
I like that hat you are wearing, K.K.
Then Noah and K.K. went kayaking.
"The wind almost blew my hat in the water!" said K.K.
When it was my turn to kayak, the wind DID blow my hat in the water.
Good thing I had watched Uncle Walter turn his boat around.
He brought me a styrofoam pad to sit on.
"Why didn't you wait for me?" he said.

Sitting in the sun, snacking.
We moved over to the shade.
Grandpa and Dad found us.
Uncle Walter took his kayak out to fish.
The rest of us stopped for ice cream down town.
Mint Chocolate Chip was the flavor of the day... isn't it always?
