Black Walnut Festival
This weekend is the 26th anniversary of Camden's Black Walnut Festival.
The temperatures were on the cool side - mid to upper 40's.
The rain had stopped.
The animals in the petting zoo didn't mind the rain.
Dayle Lewis, the chainsaw artist, was arranging his wares.
The 'boys' who crank the hand made black walnut ice-cream were busy taking down the wet tent.
Too cold for ice-cream.
Better temperatures for coffee, hot chocolate or hot cider!
The highlight of the trip was watching the hulling machine.
The public was invited to bring walnuts.
The hulls went into the truck.
This man was able to fill one bag with walnuts, then he could change the
route of the walnuts and fill a second bag.
Hulled walnuts, bagged and ready to go.
