Xenia Weekend

Xenia Station is the hub and convergence of four unique paved trails.
The Little Miami Scenic Trail comes in from the south and continues north towards Yellow Springs.
The Creekside Trail heads westward towards Dayton, while the Ohio to Erie Trail heads north east towards Columbus.
The future Jamestown Connector will head east to Jamestown and beyond.
We drove the motor home up to the Greene County Fairgrounds to meet some bicycling friends Friday morning. We were just in time to join them on their trip south along the Little Miami Scenic Trail to Corwin to eat lunch in Waynesville at the Village Family Restaurant.

The skies were sunny as we started out Saturday morning, but rain was promised after noon.
The Ohio to Erie Trail goes past Cedarville, where we stopped for a 'second' breakfast.
Some of the 'boys' headed a little further from 'home,' while we headed back to Xenia before the rain began.
The skies had cleared upon our return to Xenia, so we wandered through the display of cars downtown.
There finally was rain, but very little...it started as I walked then ran from the shower building!
Wouldn'ya know?

Sunday morning, the two of us rode north on the Little Miami Scenic Trail to Young's Dairy where we had the breakfast special: two eggs and two pieces of toast for two dollars.
Young's Dairy is a popular stop for cyclists and today was no exception!
There was a beautiful field of sunflowers along the way: people were picking flowers and taking pictures.
