Home is the most important place in the world...

After a hearty breakfast to fortify ourselves for the event, we made the trip to the new IKEA store.
As you can see, we were there early enough that we got a fairly 'up-close' parking space.
We wandered through the living rooms, the wall units and media storage, the work area, the kitchens and dining, the bedrooms and the children's IKEA.
We stopped for lunch at the restaurant - part of the experience, we've been told. The Swedish meatballs with mashed potatoes were outstanding! I was very tempted to purchase a bag of the frozen meatballs along with the sauce, but was afraid I wouldn't be able to replicate the experience...
After lunch, we went to the lower level to continue the journey through cooking and eating, textiles and rugs, bath shop, home organization, lighting, home decoration, and through the Swedish food market/bistro.
Some of us were on visual over-load!

The sun was out when we left; many more cars were in the parking lot!

An adventure, to be sure!

When I go again, I will purchase items from the Lillabo wooden train series for the children.

Comments:
I love Ikea. We have one that is just 30 minutes away, but I rarely find time to go. It may be because the last time we were there Ben howled through the entire store because he wasn't big enough to stay in the kid's play area! I hope to go again soon sans children.
