The sun is shining for the first time in several days. The SunJar is collecting rays in anticipation of this evenings' festivities... After the hottest August on record with 25 days at or above 90 degrees (five of them 100 degrees or above), I can't believe I'm excited to see the sun! 
We ate lunch at the recently opened Riverbank Cafe on the West side of the Great Miami River. The Riverbank Cafe is in the original Rumple Building .
The eclectic menu made luncheon decisions difficult. The Kentucky Hot Brown was a favorite of the staff; after ordering, we were in complete agreement. I had the Greek Gyro, one of my all time favorites. It was tasty, too.
A Happy New Year to You! January 1, 2008, watch for the Lakota West High School marching band in the Tournament of Roses Parade; the first band from South West Ohio to march in the parade! Congratulations!
