IceFest '06

Hamilton, The City of Sculpture, hosted the fifth annual IceFest this weekend. Because of unseasonably warm temperatures Friday, 60 degrees, most of the sculptures were kept in refrigerated trucks overnight and put up early Saturday morning. Even though Saturday's temperature peaked at 40 degrees, many of the sculptures were slowly dripping.

This year's theme was 'Under the Sea'.

Neat:)
The St. Paul Winter Carnival is scheduled for next week. Minnesota is also having an oddly warm winter. "It hasn't been this warm in advance of a carnival since the late 1800s." Some worry if it will be cold enough for scheduled activities. We are happy for the break on the heating bills. Fred and Kathleen
