Brookville Lake
We drove the motor home to Brookville Lake, Indiana for a camping adventure.
We stayed at the Mounds State Recreational Area.
The roads were tree lined.
Few campers on Columbus Day weekend.
Monday morning was chilly.
When the temperatures were warmer, we rode our bikes down to the boat dock.
The Templeton Creek boat dock.
Templeton Creek is a tributary to Brookville Lake.
There were about a dozen cars with boat trailers in the lot.
The hill going down was quite steep - and going back up was a challenge!
It doesn't look as steep as it was!

The campers next to us were from Indiana.
They assured us that to ride our bikes to Liberty or to Brookville
would involve riding down and then up hills....
So, they drove us to Liberty and then to Brookville.
The 5,260 acre Brookville Lake is in the Louisville District.
It lies in the east fork of the Whitewater River Valley.
Prior to 911, people walked across the dam.
We enjoyed beautiful sunny days before returning home.

There are zinnias and marigolds in the garden.
The swiss chard, kale and peppers are loving the weather.
