Clinton County Corn Festival
We started our adventures at the Clinton County Airport.
We unloaded our bicycles and rode to Port William - the home of the best pork chops.
The store was still there; it was open.
All the picnic tables, all the pork chops had been taken to the Corn Festival!
The owner gave us each a bottle of cold water - which was appreciated.
We rode back to the Clinton County Airport,
loaded the bicycles into the truck, put on dry clothes
and drove to the Corn Festival to find some lunch.
After lunch, we wandered around the festival.
The woodcarver had been busy with his chainsaw.
The bears are about four inches tall. Cute!

We watched the boys at the sawmill,
trimming the log.
Then cutting the perfect boards.

We watched the double tree pulling classes.
A father and son pulled this time
with a John Deere and a Ford.
Joe and Rachel pulled their John Deere A's.
Rachel kept her tractor under control the longest!

We looked at the steam engines on our way out.
A Case steam engine operating the saw mill.
Another Case steam engine operating the hay baler.
