Birthday wishes
Monday is the birthday of the mother of our grandchildren. With the threat of impending storms and the holiday weekend, we celebrated a couple of days early.
When K.K. came home from school, I helped her make an oatmeal-scotchie pan cookie. The featured ingredient being butterscotch morsels. With chocolate frosting. What could be better?!?
I thought the twistie candles might be fun... not so much.

We enjoyed the oatmeal - scotchie pan cookie with vanilla ice-cream.
We've enjoyed a delicious dinner at Gustavo's, eaten cake and ice-cream and we're just settling in for the night. Little Miss El is telling her grandfather about their trip to Los Vegas, the Grand Canyon and Hoover Dam.
A nice afternoon/evening.
Some of the big people got to stay up to watch The Hunger Games.

Oh, and the impending storm? This is Sunday evening and so far we have gotten 1/4 inch of rain.
