Mammoth Cave Adventure

We were invited on an adventure to Mammoth Cave by the Little People and their parents. Their cousin and their other grandparents were also invited on the adventure.

Bruce, the ranger gave us an overview of our underground trip and some history of the cave before we began our gradual descent.
We stopped at the 'Methodist Church' - the first 'air conditioned' church where the minister had a 'captive' audience. We went by the giant's coffin, the bottomless pit and through Fat Man's Misery as we walked deeper and deeper underground.

Then it was time to climb out of the cave!
We were so tired after climbing the seemingly endless flight of stairs that we just had to rest!
Rested, we are now ready for the next part of our adventure!
After lunch, the Little People, their parents and other grandparents visited Dinosaur World and Kentucky Down Under while we went to the National Corvette Museum.

Pictures from Dinosaur World.
Faster! Faster!
Help me! Help me!

One of the first displays at the National Corvette Museum included Schwinn Corvette bicycles!
Who'da guessed?
The first Corvette built June 30, 1953 had a polo white exterior, red interior with a black top. The one millionth Corvette also had a polo white exterior, red interior with a black top.
There were concept cars and a room full of a variety of 'vanity plates.'
The last room was full of interactive displays for the children - young and old alike!

Well, that's all for now. Stay tuned for pictures from Kentucky Down Under!
