Blossoms on the Gardenia

There are two new blossoms on my Mother's Day gardenia.

Wish there were some way you could enjoy their fragrance.

On another note, I get to be a docent for the Smithsonian's Exhibit "Between Fences" which will be at the Chrisholm Historic Farmstead until June 10.

Last Thursday was the docent training and opening ceremonies.
My first docenting experience will be with a group of fourth graders on Wednesday. I will lead them through several areas: the cemetery, the Pennsylvania style bank barn, the garden, a chat with Otelia Augsburger and then through the 'Between Fences' exhibition.
Oh, and the composting restrooms!

Watch for the coming of the grasshopper!

Comments:
Martha,

How was your docent with the fourth graders on Wednesday? I am sure that you had a great time.
What is the "Between Fences" exhibition?
Have a great time doing your job.

The 'Between Fences' exhibit is on loan for a month from the Smithsonian Institute. It's the story of settling of the United States; about different kinds of fences, where they are used, how they are made and why people build them.
It's a fun time being with the children!
