We returned from biking in Florida to find a lush, green yard.
Spiraea and tomatoes. Remember the spindly tomato plants?
The lilies-of-the-valley have tiny buds. The cone flowers are coming up! For being indigenous to this area, cone flowers require a bit of 'tender loving care.'
Peonies with hollyhocks in the background and a volunteer mum in the front: irises with a few buds.
We had a nice time in Florida; sunny skies with variable winds that kept us cool (surprisingly cool), good friends with whom we shared stories, delicious food prepared by Dixie Grill, tasty food at the rest stops, lightly traveled roads that were good for biking. We saw lots of brightly colored azaleas, some armadillos, pine trees and red soil.
The pavilion kept us dry during Sunday night's storm. Friends from Cincinnati: Mike, Ella, Judy and Pete. We were eating corn-on-the-cob and listening to the band. In the beer line were two men that my brother had worked with many years ago. I had a nice conversation with Steve and Lloyd. Lloyd was wearing his Kellogg's jersey; both men had ridden the century ride that day.
On our way home, we drove through Virginia to see relatives.
The first thing the brothers did was to fix something! Why am I not surprised?!?
We stopped at the Polar Express for ice-cream: Nichole, operating the cash register.
John and Abbey enjoy their sherbet and ice-cream; Kim served us.
Nichole and Abbey in Keysville Station.
Our waiter greeted us by saying, "Are you twins or just brothers?"
Then, it was time to return home.

K.K.'s first communion.
