Gardening...

We finished planting the garden.

Somehow, I planted a few too many tomato seeds and ended up with 100 plus tomato plants...
Yikes!
There were some sunflower seeds in with the tomato seeds. Sunflowers are real deer attracters!
There are green beans, radishes and lettuce to the left of the tomatoes. We have already eaten some nice radishes and lettuce.
Please notice the finely tilled soil!

We thought we would try the 'caution' tape again this year. Deer lack depth perception, so are hesitant to jump over the concentric circles of tape.
Outside the tape to the right are a couple of rows of beans, squash, lettuce and radishes.

The first green tomato. We'll see how long that lasts!

The first cone flower blossom. For a plant that is indigenous to this area, it requires more than its share of TLC!

The elderberries are in blossom.
