After Thanksgiving Day Walk

I took a walk out back early last week, just because I hadn't been out there for awhile. I was surprised at the damage from the September storm that could be seen, now that the leaves were gone.
Today's weather was in the mid-forties and sunny with a snow/ice storm on the horizon. So we walked out in the back.
This tree had been blown into the neighbor's yard. Her children were playing on it and she was afraid they would get hurt. It took the John Deere to get the tree pulled out of there, it was so tangled in the vines.
There are still plenty of branches caught in the limbs above. A good wind will blow them down!
The second pile of brush; in the background and to the right is a new pile of logs next to a thorny tree.
On our return trip, we picked up trash: I had forgotten how much trash blows into our yard. I walked along the road to pick up trash. YIKES! I was not at all prepared for the trash there!

The wind is still out of the East: not an especially good sign.

Hopefully, I'll be able to pick up the rest of the trash tomorrow before the weather takes a turn for the worse!

This is how the irises looked when we returned from our Thanksgiving festivities. If you have an idea of what happened, please let me know!
