A surprise for the deer...




Deer have no depth perception. Having inner and outer rounds of caution tape around the garden confuses them.
Or so they say...









And in case the inner and outer rounds of caution tape doesn't discourage the deer, tomatoes have been planted in other unlikely places. Here are plants in pots that would normally have flowers.
Notice the poinsettias in the smaller pots. I pruned them pretty severly this spring - we'll see if they become more bushy this fall.






We have had some nice strawberries this spring. The first batch, actually. Not enough to make jam or jelly, but enough to have just a dish of strawberries with milk in the evening.
Ummm, ummm!
