The Great Ohio Bicycle Adventure

The 20th Anniversary of the Great Ohio Bicycle Adventure began at the Lorain County Fairgrounds in Wellington.

The first day's route was 70 miles to Galion.

John and Ed are ready for their adventure.

Happy Father's Day!

Monday's route took us to Mount Vernon, where we stayed for two days.
The sun was quite warm, so the 'engineers' in the group created shade using a tarp, some rope and the goal post...

Tuesday was a 'rest day'. We started the day with 'Chris Cakes'. Afterwards we rode the Kokosing Gap Trail from Mount Vernon through Gambier, Howard and ending in Danville. On the return trip, we bicycled up a steep hill into Gambier for lunch. It was a scenic 30 mile round trip!

That evening, we watched the criterim bike race in downtown Mount Vernon. The race was part of the Tour of Ohio.
