Wednesday's 46 mile ride took us to Coshocton. We stayed two nights in Lake Park, which is near Roscoe Village.
John and Ed exploring one of the canal boats.

Thursday morning, after an outstanding breakfast at Spitler's Family Restaurant, John, Ed and I rode the optional 34 mile route out to New Bedford and back. New Bedford sits at the very top of the second highest spot in Ohio! And there were some other hills as well; both going and coming. On the return trip, we stopped at the North Appalachian Experimental Watershed: an outdoor laboratory for land and water management research.
Thursday evening, Sue and I sat in the back of the truck on our way to the buffet at Spitler's Restaurant. Ummm, ummm!
Friday's 59 mile ride to Orrville had its fair share of hills in the morning. We also rode on the Holmes County Bike Trail. This bike trail is different because half of it is for bicycles and half is for the Amish buggies. Our lunch stop was in Millersburg, where the Amish organized the best food stop. Nick, the horse, cranked some delicious ice-cream! I wonder what the Amish folks thought of all the bicycle riders...
Friday evening we enjoyed the Bob Evans Golden GOBA dinner for riders who had participated for 10, 15 and 20 years. We ate pasta, green beans (my favorite), a tasty dish of sausage, onions and green peppers, salad and the biggest piece of lemon meringue pie that I have ever seen! Yummm, yummm!
