We awoke this morning to Minnesotian-like temperatures in the single digits. Brrr... Snow continued to fall: the salt truck had made a pass along our road as John headed to work. At least there were no cars sliding off our stretch of the road. We had been promised high temperatures in the low 20's this afternoon. The high was only 14 degrees... we have been promised single digit temperatures again for tonight!
Big snow flakes fell most of the morning.
We had one telephone call New Year's Day asking if we had seen the Lakota West Marching Firebirds in the Tournament of Roses Parade. The Firebirds had the privilege of being among just six high school bands selected nationwide for the honor of appearing in the 119th Rose Parade. Thank you, Charlie, for your phone call!
