Cincinnati Museum Center at Union Terminal

We met the little people, along with their mother, for a visit to the Duke Energy Children's Museum.
The children climbed on the giant turtle and clam shells before going to the 'climbing area'. "Guess which part I like the best," they said...

We know which part of the Children's Museum that K.K. likes the best!

After following his big sister in the climbing area, Noah was off exploring on his own!
Then, off to the 'water area'. Always lots of wet fun there!

Emma and her little sister, Anna, met K.K. and Noah at the Children's Museum for the day. Here's Emma.

K.K. took a bit of a side trip to the area with the balls. The whole idea was to use levers to get the balls up to the 'shovel'. The full 'shovel' opened and the balls came falling down. Some children were lucky enough to have a bag in which to catch the balls!
Everyone worked up an appetite to eat hot dogs and drink chocolate milk.

The Cincinnati Museum Center is preparing nine months of special events, beginning March 29, to celebrate Union Terminal's 75th birthday. The terminal was dedicated March 31, 1933.
At its peak during WWII, the building handled 108 in-bound trains and served up to 34,000 passengers a day, most of them soldiers.
Train service ended in 1972. In 1977, the building was declared a National Historic Landmark. The Museum Center opened in November, 1990 and Amtrak restored train service in July, 1991.
