Spring Opener

Eighty-seven bikers came out on a blustery day to participate in the Cincinnnati Cycle Club's Annual Spring Opener bicycle ride. Even though the temperature was 40 degrees, the wind blowing from the north made the temperature feel like 21 degrees!

Here is part of the group of 55 riders that rode the 50 mile route. Even though 'short-cuts' were built into the route, this hearty group rode the entire route! In the background is the renovated Hughes Barn.

The Barry Rosenfeld Memorial quilt was hung inside the Hughes Barn. Standing next to the quilt are the seamstresses and the artist who designed twelve of the panels.

Eating and sharing stories after the ride.

Upon their return, riders said that they were hoping for hills to break the wind.
