Snow and more snow...

Snow on the spiraea. The sidewalk has been shoveled!

Snow on the forsythia bush. Can you see the ice cycle hanging from the roof?

Ice on top of the snow

Look at the ice on the clothes line!

Here is a closer look at the clove bush at the far end of the clothes line, covered in ice.

Thursday morning, February 15, a record low temperature was recorded. Negative one broke the record set in 1963. Record high temperatures in January, record low temperatures in February: a sure sign of Global warming!

Ice and More Snow

The irises are now covered with a blanket of snow, ice and more snow. This is a trial with the new blogger...

Snow, revisited...

Okay, all right, so I was a little excited at the first snow. Today we had serious snow falling at the rate of two inches per hour. The forcast called for four to six inches: I think we have at least six inches. Tomorrow I will measure the snowfall.

Look at that snow fall!

I generally have very little faith in the weather forcasters; believing that 'weather out the window' is just as accurate. I may change that belief!

That sidewalk was just shoveled!

Cold Weather Projects

Isn't Global Warming wonderful?
The next three days, we have high temperatures in the mid-teens and lows in the single digits. We are presently under a 'wind advisory'. We have but a dusting of snow on the ground; more is headed our way.

I have completed a pale green, pale yellow baby blanket for a silent auction that will take place February 24

and have started a new and slightly different 'project' from yarn and pattern found at the Wadsworth house.

All quilts have names: wedding ring, flying geese, log cabin. The name of this quilt is 'turning twenty again'. It has a jungle print because, I think, the recipient of this quilt will like it. And the recipient will be
'turning twenty again'. The backing is the yellow fabric behind the crochet projects. This will be the first quilt that I will have 'professionally' quilted. Yet again, another adventure.

Go Colts!
